How TokenBook is specified to work

Five steps, from raw on-chain activity to an audit trail a reviewer can open. Nothing here has been built yet; this is the intended workflow as specified.

Design intent: fully specified, not yet built

The core workflow

  1. Step 01

    Ingest wallet and on-chain transactions

Connected wallets and chains are read in full, so every stablecoin movement in the reporting period is captured as a transaction record rather than a manual entry.

  2. Step 02

    Reconcile against the general ledger

Each ingested transaction is matched to its general ledger counterpart, so the on-chain record and the books agree line by line.

  3. Step 03

Track cost basis and realised gain or loss

Cost basis is carried per transaction and realised gain or loss is calculated as positions move, retained in the form needed as tax evidence.

  4. Step 04

    Clear the exception queue

Anything unmatched or unusual is held in an exception queue for review, so it is resolved deliberately instead of being absorbed into a balance.

  5. Step 05

    Export the audit trail

At period end, the consolidated ledger across wallets and chains, plus its supporting evidence, is exported as an audit trail for the reporting period.
